It may be the worst kept secret in real estate but Spring is selling season, and it will be in full bloom in less than a month. Traditionally known as a time when people freshen things up, reassess and make a move in real estate, we look into what you need to know for 2020.

It is no understatement when we say anything could happen as 2020 has shown us that. But for the real estate world, in WA, it has taken off. A lot of people tend to wait until the winter months are over then make the decisions for summer. This year, people have started reassessing things a little earlier, with record-low cash rates, the market became a buyers paradise and equally a sellers haven.

So, if selling in Spring is what you are thinking, here are the Top Tips from one of WA’s leading Agents, Aaron Green.

“Firstly, the market is busy at the moment, people have assessed earlier in the year and buyers have educated themselves on where they want to be and what their price expectations are. In the same sentiment, sellers have eyed up their next move, the upsizer to grow the family or the downsizers ready to relax for summer.

Tip 1, if you are thinking of selling, be proactive, don’t wait until the market is flooded. Let us drop by and do an appraisal to give you some specific advice on how to prepare your property for sale. You want to show potential buyers why you fell in love with it and showcase how they too will create the memories to last a lifetime, whilst also allowing it to stand out on its own merit.

Tip 2, increase your homes reach in the market. Ensure you declutter and create a blank canvas before you go to market. This helps buyers see what their lives would look like in your property and envisage their family and belongings in it. We look at your home positioning, lighting and advise on even the best photography options to show buyers before they arrive at the open for inspection.

Tip 3, know your target audience. One of our greatest points of difference in the market is we get to know the home, the owner and its potential new buyer. We want to get the best partnership, between home and buyer. From that, we ensure the features of the home shine too. This allows you to concentrate on your next move to fulfil your aspirations.”

With the weather heating up and the market even hotter, if you are thinking of being in that new property before the turkey is on the table, click here and get in touch, so we can help you take that next step, to get the price you want, for the home you loved and start making memories in your new one.
